The right way to treat your children according to their different birth-orders.

The  older child in the article is almost similar to those mentioned in the clip. Older child are always give attention by his parent. He is more dependent and usually serves as a leader. What is mentioned in the clip that does not appear in the article is that the first child is perfectionism. The video suggest parent to always be ready to give supports to their first child when he/she fails,“if we understand that our first born children tend to be very driven and perfectionistic, we then understand that one of the way we can help the most as parent  is to support them in understanding how to cope well with failure and frustration.”

For the second child in the clip claim  that the second child is like to try to compete with his/her older sibling and most of the time this child will lose and will give up competing eventually. however, it advise parents to give support and courage to this child. Moreover, the video mentions that the second child tend to speak out how he feel or what he thinks so parents should pay attention listening to their second one.

Last child in the video is different from the article as the clip claim that the last one are selfish wherea the article does not agree. However  the similarity are that both of the sources say that the youngest child is more independent because parents do not pay  attention to them

In conclusion, both source tend to share some similarities in the theory part. However, they focus in different area. The article only tells the characteristics but the clip also give some advice to parents of how to treat their children  the right way.

  1. Much better than last blog. I can see you are trying to make the needed connections between the sources. This type of effort will help you develop critical thinking skills and understanding of the content. The process will help you grow into someone who can offer a lot to future employers, and most importantly help you become a life-long, independent learner.
